Rather than explaining key concepts in an organized fashion and then providing examples that show how to apply the concepts, this book immediately delves into detailed examples and buries the explanation of key concepts in the examples. There are a number of examples of the design of larger systems, both combinational and sequential, using medium scale integratedcircuits and programmable logic devices.
As with the previous editions, this edition has a clear presentation of fundamentals and an exceptional collection of examples, solved problems and exercises. Although I continued to read the book as assigned by the professor, I often found that much of the reading was a waste of my time, and I relied heavily on other resources lecture, Google, etc. Set up a giveaway.
